Clare is a young and passionate violist, violinist and teacher currently residing in Melbourne, Australia.
Clare started playing the violin at age six, begging her parents to start lessons for three years after seeing someone playing violin on Sesame Street. Clare begun learning using the Suzuki method, before swapping to more traditional learning once reaching high school and completing Suzuki book eight.
Since starting on violin as a young child, Clare has dabbled in flute and various other instruments, however it is viola and violin which have remained her passions.
Clare studied violin at Monash University primarily under Fintan Murphy and Yi Wang, focusing on classical performance, chamber music and pedagogy. More recently Clare has returned to university part-time whilst busy teaching and freelancing, now doing her Honours in viola.
